Jacqueline is serving as a valuable asset to the CommonAge team. Her active involvement in various non-government, not-for-profit organisations focused on dementia, including roles as Hon. Advisor to dementia Brunei (dB) since 2018 and Hon. Secretary of the Executive Committee, Alzheimer's Disease Foundation of Malaysia (ADFM) from 2016 to 2019, underscores her commitment to improving the lives of people with dementia and their caregivers. Having cared for her father-in-law with Alzheimer's Disease and her mother-in-law with vascular dementia and Parkinson's Disease, Jacqueline's personal connection to dementia has become a driving force behind her passion and dedication. She has been instrumental in promoting dementia care skills and training programs and actively participates in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability collaborations in Brunei and Malaysia. Jacqueline's efforts extend to volunteering for dementia-friendly and inclusive community projects in the Asia Pacific region, particularly in ASEAN countries. Her notable achievements include establishing the Atria-ADFM Community Corner, the first age-and-dementia-friendly mall in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region. Additionally, she empowers youth through the Asia Pacific Youth Engagement Programme (YEP), focusing on preventive measures for dementia and active ageing. Engaging in international conferences with prestigious organisations like WHO, The Commonwealth, and WEF showcases her influence in dementia-related discussions and policies. Jacqueline's mentorship of young people involved in WHO Futures and her leadership roles in dementia-related organisations further exemplify her dedication. In 2022, she made history by becoming the first person without dementia to join the Dementia Alliance International (DAI) Board, highlighting her commitment to inclusivity. Beyond her work in dementia-related initiatives, Jacqueline supports the BIG ONES LITTLE ONESĀ® (BOLO) program in Australia, which provides disadvantaged children with a voice through visual art and literacy. Her outstanding contributions have been recognized with the Madison's Who's Who US 'Member of the Year Award 2010/2011' for exemplary achievements in social responsibility and community contributions. Overall, Jacqueline's extensive experience, advocacy, and dedication make her a prominent figure in the field of dementia care and support, both regionally and internationally.
